Have to see it to believe it. I was skeptical since I'm not a fan of the big faced watches, especially the MK, but when I go this for my birthday, I was sold! Not too big for my small wrist. I just love it. The color is beautiful (rose gold and chocolate brown) and goes great with most of my Fall and winter wardrobe pieces.
Wanted the white one last summer but chickened out. So glad I took the chance on this one!

I am a 20-something woman and bought this watch for myself. I fell in love with it at a Fossil outlet, but didn't initially purchase it. The price on Amazon was the cheapest I found it(It was even priced the same as it was at the outlet, but on amazon I didn't have sales tax AND the purchase qualified for free super saver shipping!!!). Also, it was very difficult to find well priced mechanical watches and extra difficult to find them for women(similar watches were around $250). This watch is a good "boyfriend" style watch.

The watch is beautiful, has a clear front AND back so you can see all of the moving parts. It's a little bulkier than I am used to, yet it still looks great on, even on my skinny wrists! Love love love it!

I'm not a watch expert, and I know this isn't a super-fancy watch, but it seems like a good value for the money. If you want an automatic watch without having to pay Rolex prices this seems like a very nice choice. It's inexpensive but still decent quality, and it's oh so pretty! I love the skeleton window and the window on the back to see the winding mechanism. It's a pretty rose gold color (though the actual construction is entirely of stainless steel) and the whole piece just comes together so nicely. I guess the only thing I might have liked to be different is to have a full-size second hand.

The description has some incorrect details. I measured the case to be 40mm in diameter, not 45mm. The crown adds another 3mm, and the case is about 12mm thick. In terms of diameter this watch doesn't follow the current trend of ridiculously oversized men's watches. It ends up looking kind of thick (as seems to be unavoidable in inexpensive automatic watches) but overall is a very nice size for my taste.

The white band makes it seem slightly girly -- I'm considering switching it with a darker band -- but I can certainly see it fitting with certain wardrobe choices. As I said before, though, this watch looks really nice as a whole, so it's hard to decide to change the band.

As for accuracy, I've only had the watch for a few days but so far it seems to have remained within maybe five to ten seconds per day. Pretty good for such an inexpensive mechanical watch!

The exposed gears add another dimension to the design, similar to the appeal of exposed bricks and other foundation items in a loft apartment. Quality leather cuff watch with style By Kevin Schanz
This is quite a nice looking watch and seems to be a quality product by Fossil. All it does is keep track of time and the current numerical date (which needs to be adjusted for months that have less than 31 days). Essentially this is a watch to wear for style, along with a pair of jeans. There are a couple of minor faults however:

If the battery should ever die, it seems there is no way to replace it. The whole watch/band assembly is stitched together, and it would be near impossible to take off the back plate.

The watch is difficult to fasten, because it is obviously made out of a thick, sturdy leather. This makes putting it on, and taking it off, a good 60-second ordeal, just a very minor gripe.

This watch is solid. Whether I'm falling down Mt. Diablo, getting my hand caught in a running Ford Drive belt, or blocking punches from an ex-marine this watch doesn't have a scratch on it. Stitching is good so the leather isn't splitting apart, no scratches on the face and when you break it in it fits like a dream.

Buy this watch, do something crazy and you'll know the exact time and date when the ambulance finds you.

The Fossil Berkley is a beautiful watch. The black ceramic has a mirror-like finish that pops. I have teeny wrists, but the size of the bezel is stylishly big and perfect! The only disappointment were the rhinestones around the bezel. I have another Fossil watch that is identical with different color band, but it has more "blingy" rhinestones than on the Berkley watch which are a little small and dull.

I bought this watch after returning this watch because it was too big on my wrist. Although this product is only 3 mm shorter in diameter, it does appear to be fairly smaller than the one I initially purchased. For people with small wrists (or for people with normal sized wrists), this watch looks great! Just get a few segments taken off and you're good to go.

Functionality: As expected from any watch, the time is spot on. The date counter also has no issues. The wrist clasp is very easy to both take on and take off. I have never had a problem with the clasp releasing when I didn't want it to.

Style: Super sleek, low-profile but flashy at the same time. I love everything about the way this watch looks, and the color of the black stainless steel.

Comments: The part of the watch where the clasp is has signs of wear most likely from typing on a keyboard. It's hardly noticeable though, and is expected with black stainless steel. On another note, the weight of the watch is very nice. Not too heavy and not too light. Feels very good on the wrist.

Overall, I very can't recommend this watch enough. Can't think of any negative parts to it. Plus, its cheap!0 of 0

I have tiny wrists and found this watch face to be the perfect size, not overbearing and you still get the minute marks. The color was better than I expected. I thought it would be a little bit of shimmering gray from the picture, but it's a warmer brown/gray.

This watch is nice and heavy and feels very substantial. Definitely would have been pricier if I had gotten it through my local Fossil store. The stainless is really bright and polished around the face and the mother of pearl secondary dials are really pretty in the light. I wore it to work for the first time today and got a lot of compliments.
The only thing that I would say about this is that it's larger than the description that I read. The watch face (including the bezel) is 1 1/2" across. That's pretty large for a women's watch, especially if you have small wrists like I do. Also, I had to get links taken out (which wasn't unexpected). But the fact that the watch fit my 6'4" 280lb. fiancee before the links were taken out says something...that you're making them too large.
Regardless, I like the watch and bigger watches are in right now, so I don't mind the size. It's really well made and it really is beautiful. :)

It is very comfortable and goes well with any type of clothing. I was never a "watch guy", but now I'll be ordering more in the near future.

The area around the watch's face (the bezel?) is a slightly lighter shade of grey than how it appears in the picture. Also, the date is not set at an angle. It is set horizontally, but is still very easy to read.

This watch was available this past summer at Fossil stores. I purchased mine on Amazon and found it to be exactly how I had seen at the Fossil stores. The dials are for 24 hrs, seconds and minutes while the top and bottom buttons correspond to the stopwatch option. It comes with the 11 year Fossil warranty as well. The watch band was too long to fit around my wrist but I was able to go to Fossil to take out several links free of charge. After a month owning this watch it is fully functional and worth the price that I purchased it.

Update: It's been nearly a year since I purchased this watch and it's sill just as wonderful as the day I got it. I'm very pleased with this watch!

I am in love with this watch. I have gotten so many compliments on it at work (mostly from men). It is definitely a different kind of a woman's watch. It is a manly woman watch that looks so sexy on the wrist of a woman. If you want a lot of compliments and attention, then this is the one to get. It is black but looks like a blackish silver blue in the sun, which I like. At first, upon reading the other reviews I was a bit skeptical about the size. I have a small wrist but thankfully it did not look too large, it was just right. The design of this was is perfect. A great addition to any collection.

My only complaint is not about the watch itself though. The box it came in was a Christmas-y tin box and was not the box that was shown in the pictures. Very disappointing. But good thing I wear the watch and not the box.

Note: I just noticed my review is now attached to a DIFFERENT watch. Mine has champagne in the name, NOT golden. My review applies to a watch that looks very different. Not sure why this started happening. Maybe it will be fixed in the future.

This watch is just gorgeous. It is "champagne" which I describe as a cross between gold and silver. In some lighting, it looks more like one than the other. It's heavy, but not too heavy, just in the sense that it feels like a good solid watch. I'm not sure what the other reviewer meant when saying the bracelet will pull at your hair. The band? I haven't had that issue occur.

I do wish the instruction book was more detailed. Not sure how to set the "inside" settings". But as long as the time works, it doesn't matter to me. I may look it up on their website sometime down the road.

FYI, I did try to find this for <$135 through multiple places (Macy's sells it but they told me they never go on sale and you can't use their savings pass on them)...not many options on Amazon, and couldn't find it elsewhere online. So you may be stuck with paying full price on it. I got lucky because I'm an Amazon Visa cardholder and had earned enough points to get the watch for free.

This a a beautiful watch, I have gotten so many compliments in the short time that I wore the watch. It's good enough to be dressy and not over the top for daily wear.

Before ordering I was afraid that the second hand will not align with the marking as this is not marked as having a Swiss movement. But, it actually does align with the markings. That was a big plus for myself because this is an entry level watch and I was not expecting that the second hand will align well with the markings, and it DOES!.

Silicone is in though some might think it looks cheap. I bought this watch at the Fossil Store at Universal City Walk in Orlando, and I am well pleased with it. The diver bezel actually moves. The face is more of a royal blue, darker than what is pictured. It also has the date on it.

The watch itself is very heavy. And then there's the watch band. It's made of a heavy and durable silicone. This is actually my second silicone band watch. I like it because it's easy to clean, even if you wear it to the gym and sweat in it. It does not hold odor. It's perfect for those who work in the health profession.

I suggest buying an extra band. The store sold them for $25 each. I bought a matching blue one for a different look. No worries about messing with those tight pins either to swap it out. Fossil has developed a small release switch underneath that you move to release the pins from the watch head. It's very easy to do and that's what sold me on the extra band.

Great gift to treat yourself, like I did, or for a friend or loved one, or anyone who is a watch enthusiast.

Nice black watch By sandy
This is my first black watch. It looks better in hand than on screen. One thing that I would like to tell is that the bracelet it not too shiny. Its good because personally i think shiny makes it feel cheap.
I removed two links on either side and it fitted well in my hands. Till now i havent seen any lag in time but it has been only a week that i have purchased it. Will update if it isn't accurate. One more thing, it is kind of visible in dark, something like illuminated hands but not too much visible.
I would definitely recommend this watch to all those who like fossil brand and love black.

Fossil Black Dial By Truex
My first FOSSIL branded watch and I'm very pleased with it. Came in looking for a Black Metal strapped casual type watch and this was just the watch I had in mind. Had been pricing and looking at watches in this style in the department stores, usually a Timex and Casio (G-Shock) wearer but noticed that Fossil (and Guess) had the better looking watches in Black Metal but they were a little out of the price range. That's when I decided to check out Amazon, again since I had previously bought a few other watches from here, and of course they had the watch I had seen and wanted at the dept. store (Macy's) for the better price.

The watch is nice and stylish without being too flashy. It's water proof, has a big dial face to read the time and date and is all metal. I did take me a lil time in getting the time and date working correctly as it was my first time working with a watch that sets the way it does. Over all, I'm very pleased with this purchase and have gotten multiple compliments on the watch.

Before buying, I asked a few friends on their opinons on the watches I had on my wishlist. This was a favorite with every single person I asked, and although I didn't really think too much of it, I went ahead and trusted their opinion. Boy, am I glad I did that. Out of the watches I bought, this is now my absolute favorite. it's a beautiful piece that has been keeping its time perfectly well. Another added bonus is that I can see the time in the dark as the hands glow a very faint, yet distinguished, green. As I usually have to drive at night, it is an extra bonus for me and another reason to love this watch.

There's one thing which bothers me, but it is nowhere near enough for me to lower the rating and to think less of it. It's a big watch, and it cannot stand on its own without support. That annoys me because there are times when a watch will bother anyone, and I would like to leave it on my desk and still be able to see the time on it.

I'd definetely recommend this watch to anyone.

Beautiful watch, but looks different than in display image By aboveallbetrue
First off let's agree that this is a stunning looking watch.

But here's the thing; it doesn't look like the display image. It's not that big of a deal but the blue on the watch face is a slightly darker shade of blue than shown in the display image. It doesn't look as good as it does on the display because of this, but it still looks great once you accept that. I got it on my wrist right now and it looks great.

I think the blue watch and the leather strap look pretty good. Since this watch has the feature of easily changeable straps I purchased a blue strap (nylon watch strap blue) and it looks great. very sporty look, and unique.

Some notes on the usage of this watch:
At first I thought this watch was broken when I got it because it wasn't working like my other fossil watch, and it didn't respond the way it was supposed to (from the directions provided). I talked to a jeweler that sells fossil watches and he said that fossil has two different uses for its chronograph and that it's very confusing.

CHRONOGRAPH AND TACHYMETER:
So this watch does have a tachometer, because of this the top and bottom right buttons control the second hand (not the chronograph like on other fossil watches, fossil didn't even have this in their included directions and that was somewhat frustrating.) Because of this the bottom dial is the "actual" second hand for the watch (since you can reset the big second hand as you please with the click of a button). The big second hand is what you will use as a stop watch, and the minutes elapsed are counted on the left chronograph wheel. The time is counted in 24 hr military style on the right chronograph wheel.

The blue part of the watch, looks a little darker than in the picture. Striking leather is soft and thick. It's a watch that looks different. In short it is a recommended product.

Great Product, just needs resizing By Richard Wei
The product is almost exactly as it appears in the picture except the blue is darker. if you can't see it on the watch, the left face tells the day of the week, the bottom is the seconds, and the right is the date.

This is a very stylish watch and will go with many outfits, the feel is great on your wrist and will not get too hot nor will you get itchy. the thickness of the watch is somewhat thick but you should be fine with wearing it with a dress shirt. the only thing i had to do when i got the watch was go to a fossil shop near me and get them to resize it. i saw them do it and it took a couple tries, to adjust it to exactly how i wanted it. if you are clueless about watches i do not recommend researching and doing it yourself, a) you might mess it up and b) it will be very time consuming to adjust it perfectly, just go find a place to get it adjusted. also, fossil adjusts all of its watches for free so if you have a fossil shop near you, then problem solved!

i've had this exact same watch (only with a black dial) for about 3 years now. bought it at a department store. always loved fossil. will probably keep buying fossil. and this was a great watch, looks amazing and everything. however unfortunately the little nub that the clasp holds on to broke off today. probably just from every day wear and tear and occasional stress on it. and i am utterly saddened because i love this watch and now must buy another watch. dont let my little mishap with it get you down though. this watch is great and i highly recommend it
